A Game Warden's, or wildlife law enforcing officer's, main job is to enforce the wildlife laws of the location state and to make actual presentations to the different sportsmen's schools and clubs, conduct a clinic for safety hunting courses and assist and lend a hand in the different programs of the department. Job requirements: minimum age of 21 years old before taking the exam, a bachelor degree in anything related to the field of wildlife studies is required but some authorities will also accept applicants with any bachelor degree of any courses who have at least 16 credited units related to wildlife courses.
Successful Game Wardens applicants will then undergo training for at least 300 hours of rigid training under the direction and guidance of the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training or CLEET and an on the job in field apprenticeship that lasts about six months. |
